We encourage our mentors to schedule regular calls with their apprentices to complement other forms of messaging that takes place. This is a vital part of successful apprenticeships!
Here is how to use the voice and video calling feature:
Step 1: Log in to your account.
Step 2: Click on the picture of your mentor on the left margin. This takes you to the previous chats you've exchanged with them.
Step 3: Next, click on the phone or video icon to start a call. This opens in another tab. You’ll have to click ‘Allow’ to give access to your microphone.
Step 4: Hurray, you're on the call! If your mentor hasn't joined please wait for them to connect.
Troubleshooting note: Presently, this feature doesn't work on Safari. We suggest you copy the link and open it in Chrome/Firefox. Our developers are working to fix this bug as soon as possible.
