Congratulations, you've begun an apprenticeship to hone your marketing skills 🎉How cool is that?! We've found that providing timely feedback to your mentor helps them identify ways to make the relationship more valuable. It's also an effective way to catalog the progress of the quality mentorship received over the 3-month apprenticeship.
Rating your mentor is scheduled weekly. You'll receive an email prompting you to take a moment to do this. The rating is required for your certification. Once you've submitted the rating, your mentor will be sent the feedback directly.
Here are a few steps to get this done:
Step 1: Click on the link in the email reminder. The subject of the email is 'Rate [mentor's name] performance.' This launches your Acadium account to complete the rating. If you were previously logged out, you may be required to log in again with your credentials.
Step 2: Select the rating that fits your mentor's performance and leave a comment. Next click 'Submit.'
If there's no feedback to be given, you could skip the rating for that week and begin again the following week.
Step 3: Your rating is submitted and sent to your mentor.

Providing positive feedback is straightforward. On the flip side, you may have to provide neutral or negative feedback. Needless to say, we encourage you to convey it in a constructive manner.
Let’s say you aren’t happy with the level of mentorship. Instead of avoiding the elephant in the room on one extreme, or going full kamikaze on the other. Try saying, ‘I’d like it if you’d share more of your knowledge in SEO (for example) because this will make me more effective in completing the assigned tasks quicker and free up more of my time to add value to your business growth.’ Win-win, right?
Remember, it's about the mutually positive outcomes from your relationship with your mentor that make this 3-month journey worthwhile. Who knows, this may just be the beginning of a long professional relationship. So, let's make it count!
